As usual, numbered tiles were drawn from the Crown Royal velvet bag to determine order of play.
The Club Auxiliary provided delicious snacks like pizza fresco, veggies and dip, watermelon, lemon drop tartlets, crackers and hummus, pineapple chunks and red grapes. Snacks and beer on the sunny, sheltered deck made for a great start to the tournament. The tournament music playlist was based on the theme of birds., i.e. Hummingbird, White Bird, The Bird is the Word etc.
The first game was won by Mr. Wicket whose strategy of bringing up the rear proved fruitful. Mallethead missed a kill shot leaving Mr. Wicket an easy tap for the kill. The participants often struggled to remember the order of play. Lefty and Sticky Wicket provided continuous humorous commentary and unsolicited advice, often teaming up on the shooter.
Game two, played on the reversed course, was won by Wick O'Shay who was left an easy kill shot after Surferino missed trying to kill him.

Bravo! Great review of the last play day. I'm looking to the sky for the signal to appear. Today would be a most wonderful day to try my between the legs shot.
I enjoyed the write-up. Let's hope Mr. Wicket places the croquet signal in the sky soon!
